partnership

The Family Community Development Program believes that no organization can transform a community alone. Real change happens when people work together.
We partner NGOs, government, businesses, schools, and community groups to deliver real impact.

  • NGOs & CBOs: Co-design and co-implement programs in health, education, livelihoods, and community development
  • Government Agencies & Institutions: Align on national development goals and deliver services at the grassroots level
  • Private Sector & Corporate Organizations: Engage in CSR, skills training, and community investment projects
  • Schools, Churches, and Community Groups: Mobilize people and resources for local impact
  • Program Partnerships: Joint implementation of projects with shared goals, resources, and reporting
  • Technical Partnerships: Share expertise in M&E, training, grant writing, and capacity building
  • Strategic Partnerships: Long-term alliances to advocate for policies that support families and vulnerable communities

When you partner with FCDP, you gain a trusted local team with deep community roots, transparent reporting, and a track record of putting people first. If you share our vision, let’s create programs that change lives.

Stand With Families, Stand With FCDP.
Support goes beyond money. Donate goods, share your expertise, or help us spread the word. Every act of support brings hope closer to a family in need.

Supporting FCDP means standing with mothers, children, youth, and elders who are working hard to build better lives.

There are many ways to support our mission beyond money:

In-Kind Support
Donate items that go directly to families: school supplies, food parcels, hygiene kits, medical supplies, tools for livelihood training, and office equipment.

Advocacy Support
Use your voice. Share our work, follow us on Facebook: FAMILY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, and help us raise awareness about the challenges families face in our communities.

Technical Support
Are you a lawyer, doctor, teacher, farmer, or business owner? Offer a workshop, training, or pro-bono service to help our beneficiaries grow.

Every form of support strengthens our ability to deliver programs that work.

Your Gift, Their Future.
Your donation fuels programs that feed children, educate youth, support women’s groups, and help families become self-reliant.
Every contribution goes directly to empowering families in Montserrado & Grand Bassa Counties.

Our Microfinance Program

Our Microfinance program provides small financial services to families who do not have access to traditional banks.
The program gives low-income individuals, especially women and youth, the chance to start or grow a small business, manage their money, and build a better future for their families.

Instead of giving handouts, microfinance empowers people with tools to help themselves.

How our Microfinance program Works

Micro Loans: Small amounts of money given to start a business like selling goods, farming, tailoring, or food vending. Repaid in small weekly or monthly installments.
Savings: Encourages people to save small amounts regularly to build security for emergencies and future plans.
Training: Business skills, financial literacy, and record keeping so borrowers can succeed and repay.
Group Support: Many programs use groups where members support each other and guarantee loans together.

Why Microfinance Matters for Our Community

In Barnersville, and across Montserrado & Grand Bassa Counties, many families have good business ideas but no capital. Microfinance helps to:

  • Reduce Poverty: Creates income so families can afford food, school fees, and healthcare
  • Empower Women: Gives women control over income and decision making
  • Create Jobs: Small businesses hire neighbors and grow the local economy
  • Build Self-Reliance: Moves families from dependency to independence

At Family Community Development Program, we believe “TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES” starts with economic power.

Our goal is to launch a Community Microfinance Program that provides:

  • Small, affordable loans to market women, youth, and farmers
  • Free business training and mentorship
  • A safe place for families to save

With the right support and partnerships, we can help hundreds of families start businesses and break the cycle of poverty.

FCDP MICROFINANCE & MATCHING FUNDS PROGRAM
Empowering Entrepreneurs. Multiplying Impact.

How It Works
Our program combines 2 powerful tools:

Microfinance Loans
We provide small, affordable loans to help members start or expand businesses in trading, agriculture, tailoring, food service, and more.
Each loan comes with:

  • Low interest rates
  • Flexible weekly/monthly repayment
  • Free business training and financial literacy
  • Ongoing mentorship from FCDP staff

Matching Funds
We believe in investing in people who are already investing in themselves.
For every dollar a member saves toward their business, FCDP or our partners will match it.

Example:

If a woman saves $100 for her market stall, we match it with $100. She now has $200 in capital to start.

This does 3 things:

  1. Builds ownership: People work harder for money they helped save
  2. Increases capital: Businesses start bigger and stronger
  3. Encourages saving: Families build a safety net for the future

Traditional charity gives once. Microfinance + Matching Funds creates lasting change.

Our Goal
In year 1, FCDP aims to support 200 entrepreneurs with microloans and matching funds.
With your support, we can help them launch businesses that will feed families, pay school fees, and grow our local economy.

  • Donate: Your donation becomes matching funds. $100 from you = $200 for a business.
  • Partner: Corporates and NGOs can sponsor a cohort of 20 entrepreneurs
  • Volunteer: Teach business skills, bookkeeping, or marketing to our members

Together, we can move families from survival to self-reliance.
